The Training Sub-Committee is chaired by Mike Byrne.  The work of the committee includes:-

• Promoting accountancy as a worthwhile career to locally resident students, across a broad range of business sectors.
• Liaising with the technical sub-committee and professional accountancy bodies on the provision of relevant training for members.
• Dealing with requests from members in relation to training requirements.
• Representing the JSCCA at appropriate local careers events.

In addition to the courses run in conjunction with BPP and other events such as the ICAEW Roadshows, the sub-committee is actively involved in the Annual CPD Conference, which over the course of 2 days, provides members with the opportunity to receive technical updates on a wide range of relevant topics including changes to legislation, tax and auditiing standards.  This event is held each year in October.
